Middle distillates refers to the section of refined products, which come in between the lighter fractions. The lighter fractions include gasoline or LPG, whereas the heavier products include the fuel oil. Usually, these consist of heating kerosene, diesel oils, jet fuel and gas, like that of the marine bunker fuels. Diesel is widely used for the purpose of transportation. The heated kerosene is generally processed for domestic as well as commercial heating. But the jet fuel is broadly used for powering the engines military and commercial aircraft.
At Oil Resources, we have specific agreements which have allowed us to fulfill many of our clients’ requirements. And, with the changing condition of the market, we shift the trading style for the middle distillates.
Our teams lease storage and use tankage to blend products to local specifications and premium-priced fuels. We trade the full range of distillates, from low to high sulphur.
Our team is able to shift trading style and focus in line with changing market conditions. Key to our success is the ability to coordinate activities globally and to interact with other parts of the Group to bring customers integrated solutions. We liaise closely with other trading desks and work alongside with other traders to deliver blends that meet bespoke criteria.
We spot-charter and time-charter a wide range of tonnage through our shipping and chartering desk. In order to achieve greater physical arbitrage, we charter large tankers. Our teams lease floating storage vessels to provide prompt supply for customers with limited storage.
